Browns Tried Out 4 TEs Including Brian Leonhardt & Connor Hamlett

Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post reports that the Browns tried out tight ends Cameron Clear, Konrad Reuland, Brian Leonhardt and Connor Hamlett on Friday.

Leonhardt, 25, wound up signing on with the Oakland Raiders as an undrafted free agent out of Bemidji State back in 2013. He was unable to make the team’s 53-man roster coming out of the preseason that year, but later signed on to the team’s practice squad.

The Raiders elected to sign him to a one-year exclusive rights contract this past April, but Leonhardt was once again among their final roster cuts at the start of the season.

Leonhardt has yet to appear in an NFL game.

Hamlett, 23, wound up going undrafted out of Oregon State back in May, but later signed a three-year, $1.58 million contract with the Jaguars. However, he was among the Jaguars’ final roster cuts over a month ago.

Hamlett had a brief stint with the Eagles before signing to the Saints’ practice squad a week ago.
