According to Howard Balzer, the Cleveland Browns brought in seven free agents for workouts on Monday including WR Tavarres King.
The full list of tryouts for the Browns includes:
- C Luke Bowanko
- OT Gerhard de Beer
- WR John Diarse
- WR Shay Fields
- WR Tavarres King
- FB Dimitri Flowers
- LB Manase Hungalu
King, 28, is a former fifth-round pick of the Broncos back in 2013. He lasted less than a year in Denver before he was claimed off of waivers by the Panthers.
After brief stints with the Jaguars and Buccaneers, the Giants signed him to their practice squad during the 2015 season and he spent the past few years in New York.
The Vikings signed him to a contract King to a contract in April, but waived him with an injury designation and he later reverted to injured reserve. Minnesota eventually cut him loose.
In 2017, King appeared in eight games for the Giants and caught 18 passes for 240 yards receiving and three touchdowns.
