Buccaneers Cutting Solomon Patton To Make Room For Trindon Holliday

Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post reports that the Buccaneers are in fact waiving WR/KR Solomon Patton on Tuesday.

Last night, reports mentioned that the Bucs are signing former Broncos WR/KR Trindon Holliday, which was a pretty clear indication that Patton’s roster spot was in danger.

Patton, 24, signed on with the Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent out of Florida back in May. He was unable to make the final 53-man roster coming out of the preseason, but he was later promoted off of the practice squad before Tampa Bay’s season opener.

Over the course of six games, Patton has rushed for 19 yards on one carry and contributed 393 kick return yards to go along with 112 punt return yards.
