Buccaneers LB Kendell Beckwith Undergoes Ankle Surgery After Being Involved In Car Accident

Buccaneers GM Jason Licht told reporters on Thursday that LB Kendell Beckwith was involved in a car accident last week in Louisiana in which he suffered a fractured ankle and had to undergo surgery, per Jenna Laine.

According to  Licht, Beckwith will miss a significant portion of the offseason following this surgery.

Beckwith, 23, is a former third-round pick of the Buccaneers back in 2017. He’s currently in the second year of his four-year, $3.175 million contract and stands to make base salaries of $578,000 and $668,000 over the next two years of the agreement.

In 2017, Beckwith appeared in all 16 games for the Buccaneers and recorded 73 tackles, one sack, a forced fumble and two pass defenses.
