Buccaneers Lose DE Adrian Clayborn For The Season

Rick Stroud reports that Buccaneers DE Adrian Clayborn has a torn knee ligament and will be out for the remainder of the 2012 season.

Clayborn will need surgery to repair the torn ligament.

This is terrible news for the Buccaneers defense, as Clayborn has done a pretty good job of supplying pressure off of the end. Michael Bennett seemed to be pretty bothered by the injury following yesterday’s game, which foreshadowed the severity of Clayborn’s injury. Tampa Bay will now look to Bennett and DT Gerald McCoy to anchor their defensive for the rest of the season. Andre Carter could be a speculative option for them.
