Buccaneers QB Blaine Gabbert Suffers Dislocated Non-Throwing Shoulder

Update:

Following Friday’s game, Buccaneers HC Bruce Arians told reporters that QB Blaine Gabbert dislocated his non-throwing shoulder.

“His shoulder popped out,” Arians said, via Pro Football Talk. “. . .He was hurting pretty good.”

It’s good news for the Bucs and Gabbert, as he should be fine in the near future.

Buccaneers backup QB Blaine Gabbert suffered a left shoulder injury during Friday’s preseason game.

Gabbert fell to the ground and it was clear that something was wrong with his shoulder right away. The Buccaneers have ruled him out for the game.

Gabbert, 29, is a former first-round pick of the Jaguars back in 2010. After three years in Jacksonville, he was traded to the 49ers in return for a sixth-round pick back in March of 2014.

Gabbert played out the final year of his two-year, $4 million contract before eventually signing on with the Cardinals. The Titans added Gabbert on a two-year contract worth $4 million last year, only to release him after one season.

In 2018, Gabbert appeared in eight games for the Titans and completed 61 of 101 pass attempts (60.4 percent) to go along with four touchdowns and four interceptions.
