Buccaneers Waive P Chase Tenpenny

The Buccaneers announced that they’ve placed P Chase Tenpenny on waivers Thursday, per Scott Smith.

As of now, Tampa Bay has punters Michael Koenen and Andrew Wilder on their roster, so they didn’t need to be carrying a third option as they head into offseason workouts.

Tenpenny, 23, originally signed on with the Chargers as an undrafted free agent out of Nevada back in May of last year. He was unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason, but later signed a future/reserve contract with the Buccaneers in early January.
