Buccaneers Worked Out LB Adam Bighill

According to NFL Draft Diamonds, the Buccaneers brought in free agent LB Adam Bighill for a workout on Thursday.

The Buccaneers also made the following roster moves on Thursday:

  • Buccaneers signed LB Shaheed Salmon and WR Thomas Sperbeck. (NFLTR)
  • Buccaneers waived LB Jeff Knox.

Bighill, 29, wound up going undrafted out of Central Washington back in 2011 and eventually agreed to a deal with the BC Lions. He was a four-time All-Star during his CFL career.

The Saints brought Bighill in a for a workout following last season and wound up signing future/reserve contract last year. Unfortunately, the Saints cut him loose coming out of the preseason before adding him to their practice squad a few days later.

Bighill was been on and off of their active roster before returning to New Orleans on another futures deal this offseason. However, the Saints cut him loose earlier in the week.

During his CFL career, Bighill recorded 489 tackles, 33 sacks, eight interceptions with one being returned for a touchdown and eight forced fumbles over the course of 99 games and six seasons.
