Cardinals Claim OT Brett Toth Off Waivers From Eagles

Adam Schefter reports that the Cardinals claimed former Eagles’ OT Brett Toth on Sunday.

Back in May, President Trump said he would allow military academy athletes to get waivers to join pro sports teams upon graduation, which paved the way for players like Toth to pursue an NFL career.

Toth fulfilled his first year of active military service and had been waiting to be allowed to join the Eagles and compete for a roster spot. The Eagles signed him a few weeks ago before cutting him loose on Saturday.

Toth took part in the Senior Bowl back in January and had reportedly drawn interest from multiple teams.
