Cardinals RB D.J. Foster Out For Season With Torn ACL

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Cardinals RB D.J. Foster suffered a torn ACL and will subsequently miss the entire 2018 season.

You can expect the Cardinals to place Foster on injured reserve in the coming days.

Foster, 24, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Patriots as an undrafted free agent out of Arizona State back in 2016, but was waived a during the season. The Patriots added him to their practice squad, but lost him to the Cardinals the following year.

Foster returned to New England last year for a brief stint before returning to the Cardinals.

In 2017, Foster appeared in seven games for the Cardinals and rushed for 19 yards on six carries (2.7 YPC) to go along with 17 receptions for 133 yards receiving and no touchdowns. He also contributed 184 kick return yards.
