Seahawks HC Pete Carroll told reporters on Monday that CB Brandon Browner “could be out quite a while.”
Browner exited Sunday’s game against the Falcons in the second quarter with an apparent groin injury.ย Walter Thurmond III is likely fill in for Browner while he’s out and there is a chance thatย Byron Maxwell could seen an increased role as well.
Browner, 29, has been one of Seattle’s best defensive backs, so not having him available could end up being a bit of an issue, althoughย Thurmond and Maxwell are very capableย replacements. It’s also worth noting thatย Browner is in the final year of his contract and is a good position to secure a solid contract on the open market.
We have him listed as the No. 14 player in our Top 50 – 2014 Free Agents list.
