The Los Angeles Chargers announced that they’ve signed S Fish Smithson to their practice squad and placed S Dexter McCoil on the practice squad injured list.

- QB Cardale Jones
- G Spencer Drango
- TE Vince Mayle
- WR Justin Liggins
- LB Tre’von Johnson
- DB Arrion Springs
- LB Tyrone Holmes
- S Dexter McCoil (Injured)
- S Fish Smithson
Smithson, 24, originally signed on with the Redskins as an undrafted free agent out of Kansas back in 2017. He was waived at the start of his rookie season and later re-signed to Washington’s practice squad.
The Redskins would eventually promote Smithson to their active roster in December. However, he was once again among their final roster cuts coming out of the preseason.
Smithson signed on to the Cardinals practice squad in December.
In 2017, Smithson appeared in two games for the Redskins and recorded one tackle and no interceptions.
