Chargers Signing Undrafted LB James Ross

Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post reports that the Chargers are signing undrafted rookie LB James Ross to a contract on Tuesday.

  • Michael Gehlken confirms the news and adds that Ross was one of the standout players at the Chargers’ rookie minicamp.

This will be Ross’ first opportunity with an NFL team after he wound up going undrafted out of Michigan a few weeks ago.

Ross previously worked out for the Ravens, according to Wilson, but did not receive an offer from the team.

During his four-year college career at Michigan, Ross recorded 187 tackles, 16.5 tackles for a loss, three sacks, two forced fumbles, a recovery and a pass defense.
