The Los Angeles Chargers officially waived TE Ben Johnson from injured reserve with a settlement on Wednesday.
Johnson, 25, signed with the Chargers as an undrafted free agent out of Kansas in 2018. He was waived by the team during final roster cuts at the end of the preseason.
Los Angeles brought Johnson back in August only to waive him with an injury designation coming out of the preseason. He later reverted to their injured reserve list.
During his four-year college career, Johnson caught 61 passes for 670 yards and two touchdowns in 31 games.
