Chiefs Expected To Start QB Matt Moore For Week 9

According to Ian Rapoport, the Chiefs are expected to work out QB Patrick Mahomes prior to Week 9’s game but are planning to start QB Matt Moore

Kansas City officially activated QB Chad Henne from their injured reserve on Saturday, so they are clearly anticipating to be without Mahomes.

Moore, 35, originally signed on with the Panthers as an undrafted free agent out of Oregon State back in 2007. He spent three years in Carolina before signing on with the Dolphins in 2011.

Moore played out the final year of a two-year, $3.5 million contract with the Dolphins in 2017 and did not play in 2018. The Chiefs signed him to a one-year deal back in August.

In 2019, Moore has appeared in three games for the Chiefs and recorded 34 completions on 56 pass attempts (60.7 percent) for 384 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions.
