Chiefs Hire Former QB Mike Kafka As Offensive Quality Control Coach

The Kansas City Chiefs announced Wednesday that they’ve hired Mike Kafka as their Offensive Quality Control Coach and Rod Wilson as their Assistant Special Teams Coach.

  • Adam Caplan of ESPNĀ first reported that the Chiefs were hiring Kafka as their newĀ offensive quality control coach.

KakfaĀ previously worked with Chiefs HC Andy Reid while they were in Philadelphia together several years ago.

Kakfa, 29, is a former fourth-round pick of the Eagles back in 2010. Kafka played for a number of teams including the Patriots, Jaguars, and Buccaneers, Vikings, Titans and most recently for the Bengals back in 2015.

Last year, Kakfa worked Northwestern as an offensive graduateĀ assistant, but this will be his first coaching opportunity in the NFL.
