It was reported earlier today that Berry was undergoing further testing to determine his status. This is incredible news for the Chiefs and Berry, who at his young age battled Hodgkins Lymphoma.
After being diagnosed back in April, Berry is now officially cancer free and is able to rejoin his teammates and attend training camp.
Berry, 26, is in the fourth year of his five-year, $60 million contract that included $34 million guaranteed. He’ll make a bas salary of $5.155 million for the 2015 season.
Berry recorded 37 tackles and two pass defenses over the course of six games last season. Though ProFootballFocus rated Berry as the No. 57 overall safety in 2014, it is worth noting that he ranked at No. 3 the previous season.
