Colts Claim DT Kyle Peko Off Waivers From Bills, Waive DT Carl Davis

The Colts announced on Monday they have claimed DT Kyle Peko off of waivers from the Bills and waived DT Carl Davis in a corresponding move.

Peko, 26, wound up going undrafted out of Oregon State back in 2016. He later signed on with the Broncos, but was waived coming out of the preseason and later signed to the team’s practice squad.

Peko was on and off of the Broncos’ active roster for a few years before signing on with Bills during the 2018 season. He returned to Buffalo on a futures contract this past January and has been on and off of their roster ever since.

In 2019, Peko has appeared in four games for the Bills and recorded four tackles and no sacks.

Davis, 27, was originally a third-round pick by the Ravens in the 2015 NFL Draft out of Iowa. He was in the third year of his four-year rookie contract when the Ravens waived him back in 2018.

Davis was claimed by the Browns the day after off of waivers and finished out the year in Cleveland. He re-signed in Cleveland on a one-year, $2 million deal but was released coming out of the preseason.

In 2018, Davis appeared in five games for the Browns and recorded one tackle and no sacks.
