Colts Make RFA LB Jerrell Freeman A Qualifying Offer, Re-Sign Three More Players

The Indianapolis Colts announced that they’ve made a qualifying offer to restricted free agent to LB Jerrell Freeman on Thursday.

  • The team also tendered offers to exclusive rights tenders to OLB Daniel Adongo, RB Boom Herron, and OLB Cam Johnson, which will ensure that they’re back in 2015.

Freeman, 28, was originally signed by the Colts to a reserve/future contract back in January of 2012.

Since joining the Colts, Freeman has recorded 516 tackles (305 solo), 15 passes defensed, 9.0 sacks, eight forced fumbles, three interceptions, including one returned for a touchdown, and two fumble recoveries in 44 starts.

Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 39 inside linebacker out of 60 qualifying players.
