Indianapolis also confirmed the signings of TEs Hale Hentges and Ethan Wolf to the practice squad. The Colts released TE Charlie Taumoepeau from the practice squad.
This comes as expected after Hooker (Achilles) and Campbell (knee) both suffered season-ending injuries on Sunday.
Hooker, 24, is a former first-round pick of the Colts back in 2017. He’s currently in the final year of his four-year, $12.6 million contract that’s fully guaranteed and stands to make a base salary of $2.18 million in 2020.
The Colts declined Hooker’s fifth-year option for the 2021 season, which means he’ll be an unrestricted free agent next year.
In 2020, Hooker appeared in two games and recorded seven tackles and no interceptions.
Campbell, 23, was drafted by the Colts in the second round out of Ohio State during the 2019 NFL Draft. He signed a four-year rookie deal worth $4.7 million with $2.7 million guaranteed.
In 2020, Campbell appeared in two games for Indianapolis and caught six passes for 71 yards.
