Colts Placing DL Denico Autry On COVID-19 List

The Indianapolis Colts announced on Friday that they are placing DL Denico Autry on the COVID-19 list.

The COVID-19 list was created this summer for a player who either tests positive for or who has been quarantined after having been in close contact with an infected person or persons.

Players will remain on the list until they are medically cleared to return.

Autry, 30, originally signed on with the Packers as an undrafted free agent out of Mississippi back in 2014 but was waived after a week and claimed by the Raiders.

The Raiders decided to waive him later on and signed him to their practice squad after clearing waivers. Oakland promoted him to the active roster back in 2014 and signed him to one-year deals three years in a row.

The Colts signed him to a three-year, $17.8 million deal back in 2018. He’s in the final year of his contract and set to earn a base salary of $5,300,000 this season.

In 2020, Autry has appeared in nine games and recorded 24 total tackles, seven tackles for loss, and six sacks.
