Colts Release CB Sheldon Price With Injury Settlement, Promote RB Zurlon Tipton

The Indianapolis Colts announced Thursday that they’ve waived CB Sheldon Price from injured reserve with a settlement.

  • The Colts also promoted RB Zurlon Tipton to their active roster and signed DE Earl Okine to their practice squad.

Price was waived with the injury designation last week to make room for CB Eric Patterson, but later reverted to the injured reserve list after clearing waivers.

Price, 23, signed on with the Colts as an undrafted free agent out of UCLA back in April of last year. He was unable to make the team’s final 53-man roster coming out of the preseason, but was he eventually signed to their practice squad.

This season, Price has appeared in two games and recorded a single tackle for the Colts.

Tipton, 25, signed on with the Colts as an undrafted free agent out of Central Michigan back in May of last year. He has been on an off of the Colts’ practice squad since entering the league.

Last year, Tipton wound up appearing in six games for the Colts in 2014, rushing for 18 yards on 10 carries (1.8 YPC) to go along with six receptions for 68 yards receiving and a touchdown.
