The Indianapolis Colts announced the release of 12 players of Monday, as they’ve trimmed their roster down to 76 players ahead of Tuesday’s deadline.
The list of players who have either been released or waived includes:
- G Donald Thomas
- G Harland Gunn
- ILB Nicklas Haag
- OLB Zack Hodges
- T Tyler Hoover
- WR Ryan Lankford
- DT Jeris Pendleton
- WR Ezell Ruffin
- ILB Justin Shirk
- TE Justin Sinz
- RB Abou Toure
- C Brandon Vitabile
- CB Donald Celiscar (injured)
The Colts also placed CB Tevin Mitchel on season-ending injured reserve list.
Thomas, 29, had recently been activated from the team’s PUP list, but it appears as though they prefer their other interior offensive line options moving forward.
He had two years remaining on his four-year, $14 million contract that included a $1 million signing bonus. Thomas would have made base salaries of $3.5 million over the remaining two years.
Thomas hasn’t appeared in an NFL game since the 2013 season, and that year he was limited to playing in just two games.
