Colts Releasing FB Roosevelt Nix

The Indianapolis Colts announced via their Twitter that they are releasing FB Roosevelt Nix

Nix, 28, originally signed on with the Falcons as an undrafted free agent out of Kent State back in 2014. He was unable to make the 53-man roster and sat out the entire 2014 season before signing a future/reserve contract with the Steelers in January of 2015.

The Steelers elected to sign him to one-year exclusive rights deals in 2016 and 2017. He signed a four-year, $6.975 million extension after making the Pro Bowl in 2017, but was released by the Steelers this offseason.

Nix was signed to a one-year deal by the Colts back in April.

In 2019, Nix appeared in three games for the Steelers and caught two passes for four yards receiving.
