Colts Sign 14 Players To Futures Deals, Sign Three To Extensions

The Indianapolis Colts announced Monday that they’ve signed WR Zach Pascal, TE Mo Alie-Cox and K Chase McLaughlin to one-year extensions and signed 14 players to futures contracts for the 2020 season. 

The full list of futures signings includes:

  2. TE Ian Bunting
  3. T Andrew Donnal
  4. G Chaz Green
  5. DE Gerri Green
  6. TE Xavier Grimble
  7. WR Malik Henry
  8. RB Darius Jackson
  9. T Cedrick Lang
  10. TE Matt Lengel
  11. CB Picasso Nelson Jr.
  12. CB Lafayette Pitts
  13. CB Jackson Porter
  14. T Travis Vornkahl

Alie-Cox, 26, is a former basketball player, who made the transition to football as a tight end and eventually signed on with the Colts in 2017. He was on and off of the Colts’ active roster during his first two years in Indianapolis. 

Alie-Cox was in line to be an exclusive rights free agent in 2020. 

In 2019, Alie-Cox appeared in all 16 games for the Colts and caught eight passes for 93 yards receiving and no touchdowns.

McLaughlin, 23, originally signed on with the Bills as an undrafted free agent out of Illinois back in May. He was among Buffalo’s final roster cuts coming out of the preseason and caught on with the Vikings’ practice squad.

Minnesota wound up cutting him after a week with the team on September 10. He had a brief stint with the Chargers before joining joined the 49ers midseason. 

The Colts later claimed McLaughlin off waivers from the 49ers. 

In 2019, McLaughlin converted 18 of 23 field attempts (78.3 percent) for the 49ers and Colts to go along with all 26 extra point tries.
