Colts TE Dallas Clark Out For The Season?

The Indianapolis Colts 2011 season has been miserable to this point. An 0-9 record along with the loss of their franchise quarterback has left them fighting to stay in games until halftime.

During Sunday’s loss t0 the Falcons, TE Dallas Clark was seen wearing a protective boot on his left foot.

Colts head coach Jim Caldwell noted that the Clark has a “significant” leg injury on Monday and added that he’ll likely miss “more than a week.”

Tom James of the Terre Haute Tribune Star reports that Clark’s injury “may be season ending.” James also adds that the team is likely sign another tight end in the coming days.

Last year Jacob Tamme filled in for Clark so you can expect to see him step into the starting role for the time being. It’s hard to imagine Clark having any worse of a season than this one as he’s been unable to effectively contribute in the teams passing game as well as a blocking tight end.
