Colts Worked Out Six Free Agents

According to Howard Balzer, the Indianapolis Colts brought in six free agents for workouts on Tuesday including RB Mack Brown and TE Khari Lee.

The full list of workouts for the Colts includes:

  1. RB Mack Brown
  2. RB Martez Carter
  3. RB Jarvion Franklin
  4. RB Gerald Holmes
  5. RB Akrum Wadley
  6. TE Khari Lee

Brown, 27, originally signed on with the Texans as an undrafted free agent out of Florida back in 2015. He lasted less than a month in Houston before signing on with the Redskins.

Brown was on and off of the Redskins’ practice squad the past two years before he was waived last year and later claimed off of waivers by the Vikings.

Minnesota brought Brown back on an exclusive rights contract only to waive him with an injury settlement at the start of the season.

In 2017, Brown appeared in four games for the Vikings and recorded eight rushing attempts for 29 yards (3.6 YPC) to go along with one reception for 11 yards.

Lee, 26, wound up signing on the Texans as an undrafted free agent out of Bowie State back in 2015. He was later traded to the Bears in return for a 2017 seventh-round pick. However, the Bears elected to place Lee on waivers and he was later claimed by the Lions.

Lee was in the second year of his three-year, $1.577 million rookie contract when he was waived by Detroit and signed to the practice squad. He re-signed to a one-year futures deal but was waived after the preseason.

He was quickly claimed by the Bills and finished out the 2017 season in Buffalo. The Bills elected to waive him in October.

In 2018, Lee has appeared in two games and recorded one reception for five yards receiving.
