Brian McIntyre reports that the total value of Titans DT Jurrell Casey’s brand new extension is $37.431 million over the course of five years.
- According to McIntyre, the deal includes $13 million fully guaranteed and a $10.6 million signing bonus.
- McIntyre adds that Casey has a base salary of $2.4 million in 2014, and his 2015 and 2016 base salaries include $7.5 million guaranteed just for injury.
Casey, 24, is coming off of a season in which he was a second-team All-Pro selection. Last year, he totaled 54 tackles, 10.5 sacks, a forced fumble and a recovery for the Titans defense over the course of 15 games.
Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 4 defensive tackle in the league last season, mainly due to his ability to apply pressure up the middle.
