Cowboys Interested In Bringing Kris Richard Back

Calvin Watkins, citing multiple sources, reports that the Cowboys interested in bringing back Kris Richard in some role.

According to Watkins, Richard has some meetings set up, but there’s nothing definitive regarding his status right now.

Reports have made it clear that Mike McCarthy is set on hiring Mike Nolan as his defensive coordinator, so it will be interesting to see what happens with Richard.

The Giants actually interviewed Richard for their head-coaching job last week.

Richard, 40, began his coaching career with the Seahawks back in 2008 as a graduate assistant. He worked his way up to defensive in 2015 and spent the three seasons in charge of the Seahawks’ defense before parting ways in 2017.

The Cowboys later hired Richard as their defensive backs coach/passing game coordinator. Richard’s contract with the Cowboys is set to expire.

We’ll have more regarding the Cowboys as the news is available.
