Cowboys Moving On From QBs Coach Jon Kitna

Ed Werder of ESPN reports that new Cowboys HC Mike McCarthy is not retaining QBs coach Jon Kitna as part of his staff in Dallas.

According to Werder, it appears Kellen Moore and Doug Nussmeir are the only candidates to return to offensive staff.

Kitna, 47, played 12 seasons in the NFL for the Bengals, Lions and Cowboys. He got into coaching in 2012 and worked for high schools before being hired as the Cowboys’ QBs coach last year.

For his career, Kitna completed 60.3 percent of his passes for 28,211 yards, 161 touchdowns and 155 interceptions over the course of 133 games. He also rushed for 876 yards and nine touchdowns.
