Cowboys Sign OT Bryan Witzmann & LB Brandon Hepburn, Cut THree

The Dallas Cowboys signed OT Bryan Witzmann and LB Brandon Hepburn, to contracts on Wednesday and waived LB Jarrell Harris, DE Caleb Azubike, and DT Justin Renfrow, according to Charean Williams.

Hepburn, 26, is a former seventh-round pick of the Lions back in 2013. He spent just over a year in Detroit before he was waived at the start of the 2014 season.

The Eagles later signed Hepburn to their practice squad and brought him back on future/reserve contracts in each of the past two seasons before placing him on waivers back in February.

Hepburn has yet to appear in an NFL game.

Witzmann, 25, originally signed on with the Texans as an undrafted free agent out of South Dakota State back in 2014. He lasted just over a year in Houston before signing on to the Saints’ practice squad a few weeks into the 2015 season.

New Orleans elected to bring him back on a future/reserve contract, but he was unfortunately waived a few weeks after this year’s draft.

Witzmann has yet to appear in an NFL game.
