Cowboys Worked Out 3 Players Including DT Michael Brooks & LB John Lotulelei

The Dallas Cowboys brought in DT Michael Brooks, DE Cleyon Laing and LB John Lotulelei for workouts on Tuesday.

Brooks, 25, originally signed on with the Lions as an undrafted free agent out of East Carolina back in 2013. Detroit decided to waive him but he was quickly picked up off waivers by the Seahawks a week later.

Brooks was on and off of Seattle’s practice squad for the next year before being released at the start of the 2014 season.

He has recently worked out for the Vikings and Patriots but was not signed to a contract.

In 2013, Brooks appeared in one game for the Seahawks and recorded one tackle.

Lotulelei, 24, originally signed on with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent out of UNLV back in April of 2013. He managed to make the Seahawks’ 53-man roster that year, but lasted just a few months into the regular season before he was waived and later claimed by the Jaguars.

Jacksonville waived him with the injury designation back in October and was later released from their injured reserve list with a settlement. Lotulelei caught on with the Raiders towards the end of last year.

Lutlelei has worked out for a number of teams since becoming a free agent including the Titans, Saints, Colts, Bears, and Broncos.

In 2015, Lotulelei was active for four games but did not record a single statistic.
