Darrelle Revis Still Expecting A New Contract At Some Point

Jets CB Darrelle Revis mentioned that “something’s got to happen sooner or later in terms of my future with the” Jets.

“I want to be a Jet for life,” Revis said, via the New York Daily News. “But if management doesn’t see fit, then I have to move on.

Looks like the Jets will still have to address his contract at some in the next year. Revis is still only 27 -years-old, so he has a number of productive seasons ahead and another Pro Bowl year, would give him more than enough leverage to demand a new contract.

Rich Cimini reports that Jets CB Darrelle Revis has reported to training camp on time, even though he didn’t receive the new contract that he was looking for.

This is obviously a great sign for the Jets, as Revis will now honor the deal he signed a few years ago. Having the best cornerback in the game under contract for a $4.5 million salary this season is certainly a good thing for team that has little cap space to work with in recent years.
