Dolphins On Peyton Manning’s Short List Of Teams?

Since Peyton Manning has been cleared by independent doctors, there has been plenty of speculation as to where he could be playing in 2012.

It should be noted that the Colts haven’t cleared Manning to play and they have concerns about the nerve damage in his arm but Manning is confident that he’ll fully recover in time for the upcoming season.

Omar Kelly of the Sun Sentinel reports that an NFL source has informed him that Manning has the Miami Dolphins on his “short list” of teams that he would consider playing for next season.

Kelly adds that Manning’s wife owns a condo on South Beach and would consider relocating to Florida.

There’s been secret about the Dolphins plan for the quarterback position as they’ve said publicly that it will be their top priority. Many feel as though Matt Flynn would be an obvious target, considering that he played for new Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin while in Green Bay, but reports continue to suggest that Manning would be the teams #1 priority if healthy.

The Colts have said that they plan to take their time before deciding on Manning’s future with the team so you can expect the rumors and speculation to grow in the weeks leading up to free agency.
