Dolphins Place 5 Players On PUP List Including RB Arian Foster

The Miami Dolphins announced Friday morning that they’ve placed veteran RB Arian Foster on the active/PUP list to open training camp.

There are four other players joining Foster on the PUP list including: Xavien Howard, Bobby McCain, Damien Williams and Zach Vigil.

Foster is coming off of a season-ending Achilles’ injury, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Dolphins be cautious with him in the coming weeks.

Foster, 29, wound up signing on with the Texans as an undrafted free agent out of Tennessee back in 2009. He spent seven years with the Texans before they released him in a move that freed up $6,625,000 in cap space for Houston a few months ago.

Miami elected to sign Foster to a one-year deal worth over $3.5 million a few weeks ago.

In 2015, Foster ran for 163 yards on 63 carries (2.6 YPC) to go along with 22 receptions for 227 yards receiving and and three touchdowns.
