According to Armando Salguero, the Dolphins are promoting TE Thomas Duarte from their practice squad and activated LB Zach Vigil from the non-football-injury list.
The Dolphins had two roster spots to fill after they placed TE Jordan Cameron on injured reserve earlier in the day.
Duarte, 21, was a seventh-round pick by the Dolphins in this year’s NFL Draft. He signed a four-year, $2.41 million rookie contract and was set to make a base salary of $450,000 this yearย but was unfortunately cut loose coming out of the preseason.
The Dolphins later signed him to their practice squad a day later.
During his three-year college career at UCLA, Duarte recorded 97 receptions for 1,626 yards and 17 touchdowns.
