Dolphins Release WR Greg Jennings

The Miami Dolphins announced that they’ve released veteran WR Greg Jennings on Saturday.

Jennings, 32, was entering the final year of his two-year, $8 million contract that included $3 million signing bonus. He was set to make a base salary $3.9 million for the 2016 season.

According to OverTheCap.com, releasing Jennings will free up $4 million in available cap space while creating $1.5 million in dead money.

In 2015, Jennings appeared in all 16 games and recorded 19 receptions for 208 yards receiving and one touchdown. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 110 receiver out of 121 qualifying players.
