Reed, 23, wound up signing on with the Bills as an undrafted free agent out of Texas back in May of last year. He was unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason, but was spent his rookie season on and off of their practice squad.
Buffalo elected to bring him back on a future/reserve contract on January, only to waive him a few weeks ago.
During his four-year college career at Texas, Reed recorded 180 tackles, 18.5 sacks, six forced fumbles, two recoveries and seven pass defenses.
