Many assumed that if the Dolphins were to sign a guard, it was likely to be veteran Evan Mathis. However, it looks like his asking price is still too high for their liking.
Browning, 27, originally signed on with the Rams as an undrafted free agent out of Ohio State back in 2011. He lasted just a few weeks before he was waived an later claimed by the Panthers.
Browning spent the next two years in Carolina before he had brief stints with the Browns, Giants, Bills and most recently with the Steelers.
This is first interest Browning has found since he was waived/injured by Pittsburgh last August.
Browning last appeared in an NFL game during the 2011 season when he was playing for the Panthers.
