Dolphins Sign TE Nick O’Leary To One-Year, $1.5M Extension

The Dolphins have signed TE Nick O’Leary to a contract extension on Saturday, according to his agency.

  • Ian Rapoport adds that O’Leary gets a one-year, $1.5 million extension with $500,000 guaranteed.

O’Leary, 26, was selected in the sixth round by the Bills in the 2015 NFL draft. However, he was waived at the start of the season and later added to their practice squad. He was eventually promoted to their active roster during his rookie year and just finished his rookie contract.

O’Leary re-signed with Buffalo this offseason to a one-year exclusive rights deal but was among their final roster cuts coming out of the preseason. The Dolphins signed him to their practice squad a few months ago before promoting him to their active roster.

In 2018, O’Leary has appeared in seven games and caught seven passes for 77 yards receiving and one touchdown.
