Dolphins Signing OL Jesse Davis To Three-Year, $15M Extension

According to Adam Schefter, the Miami Dolphins have re-signed OL Jesse Davis to a three-year, $15 million contract extension through the 2022 season that includes $8.5 million guaranteed.

Davis, 27, originally signed on with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent out of Idaho back in 2015. He was among Seattle’s roster cuts and eventually signed a future/reserve deal with the Jets.

New York also decided to waive him among their final roster cuts coming out of the 2016 offseason and later signed him to their practice squad, only to cut him shortly after.

The Dolphins signed him to their practice squad in November of 2016 and later re-signed to a futures contract the next offseason. He made Miami’s active roster, once again, for 2018 and re-signed a one-year exclusive rights contract back in March.

In 2018, Davis appeared in all 16 games for the Dolphins as a starter.
