Dolphins Waive DB T.J. Heath, K Zach Hocker & DB Lowell Rose

The Miami Dolphins announced Tuesday that they’ve placed DB T.J. Heath, K Zach Hocker and DB Lowell Rose on waivers.

According to OverTheCap.com, releasing these players will free up $1,615,000 in available cap space while creating no dead money for the Dolphins.

Hocker, 23, is a former seventh-round pick of the Redskins. However, he was unable to make the team’s final 53-man roster coming out of the preseason and was among their final roster cuts. Miami later signed him to a future/reserve deal in early January.

Rose, 25, originally signed with San Francisco as an undrafted free agent in 2013, but only lasted a few months with the team. He signed on with the Chargers before the Dolphins added him to their practice squad and later received a future/reserve contract from Miami.

In 2014, Rose appeared in five games and recorded one tackle.
