Dolphins Worked Out 4 DBs Including Dewey McDonald & Brandon McGee

Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post reports that the Dolphins brought in four defensive backs for workouts this week including Dax Swanson, Brandon McGee, Dewey McDonald and Jeremy Harris.

McDonald, 25, signed with the Colts as an undrafted free agent out of California (PA) back in May of last year. Since then, he’s been on and off of the team’s practice squad.

The Patriots wound up claiming McDonald off of waivers from the Colts, but unfortunately waived him from their practice squad earlier in the week.

This season, McDonald has appeared in two games this season and recorded a single tackle.

McGee, 24, was taken by the Rams in the fifth round of the 2013 NFL draft. He was unfortunately among the team’s roster cuts over to a month ago, but later returned to the team’s practice squad. St. Louis elected to cut him loose again a close to a month ago.

McGee wound up signing to the Giants’ practice squad, but his stay was short lived.

This season, McGee has been active for one game, but has yet to record a statistic.
