Draft Rumors: DeForest Buckner, Browns, Steelers, & Titans

DeForest Buckner 

• Aaron Wilson reports that Oregon DE DeForest Buckner has visits lined up with the Cowboys, Jaguars, Chargers and Titans.

Draft

• Seven of 10 evaulators told Peter King that they believe Carson Wentz will be the first quarterback taken this year while the other three said it will be Jared Goff.
• Interestingly enough, four of the 10 evaulators tossed out the Rams as the team to watch in a trade up into the top five picks this year.
• The consensus belief right now is that there really isn’t a lot separating the prospects between No. 11 – 50 or so, per King’s sources.
• Regarding this year’s crop of quarterbacks, King mentions that Goff and Wentz are in the top five, Paxton Lynch in the teens, Connor Cook around 30 and it’s anyone’s guess from there.
• West Virginia CB Darryl Worley is visiting with the Eagles and Cardinals, and working out for the Panthers, Lions, and Jaguars. (Aaron Wilson)
• Middle Tennessee State DB Kevin Byard has visits lined up with the Cardinals today followed by Rams, Saints and Bengals. (Aaron Wilson)

Browns

Peter King of TheMMQB.com was hearing just last week that Carson Wentz was the guy to watch for the Browns at No. 2 overall. However, a panelist for his draft polls is convinced that Jared Goff is actually their guy.

“It’s definitely Goff,” King’s source said “Believe it.”

Steelers

• The Steeleres hosted a number of prospects for pre-draft visits including: Colorado CB Ken Crawley, Alabama CB Cyrus Jones, Virginia Tech LB Dadi Nicholas, Boston College S Justin Simmons, Maryland S Sean Davis, Ole Miss DL Robert Nkemdiche, West Virginia S Karl Joseph and South Carolina WR Pharoh Cooper. Titans

• According to Peter King, there’s “definite interest” interest from the Titans in regards to FSU DB Jalen Ramsey, who is actually visiting Tennessee on Monday.
• Jason Wolf reports that Ole Miss OT Laremy Tunsil, Florida State DB Jalen Ramsey, Ohio State DE Joey Bosa and Oregon DE DeForest Buckner are all visiting the Titans this week.
