Eagles Could Rescind Restricted Offer Sheet To RB Chris Polk

Charles Robinson of Yahoo Sports mentions that the Eagles could rescind the original-round tender they offered to RB Chris Polk now that they’ve signed DeMarco Murray and Ryan Mathews in recent days.

Philadelphia ultimately extended Polk, a restricted free agent, an offer sheet that would pay him $1.5 million or so for the 2015 season. Rescinding the offer sheet would make Polk an unrestricted free agent.

Polk, 25, signed on with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent out of Washington back in 2012.

In 2014, Polk ran for 172 yards on 46 carries (3.7 YPC) to go along with two receptions for 16 yards and four touchdowns over the course of 14 games. Pro Football Focus has him down for playing 97 snaps last season to go along with a positive rating overall.
