Eagles Expected To Shop LB Mychal Kendricks For Trade Offers

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Eagles are expected to shop LB Mychal Kendricks around for trade offers after they re-signed LB Nigel Bradham agreed to terms on a five-year deal worth $40 million on Wednesday.

The Eagles have had Kendricks on the trade block for the past few years with prior reports indicating that they were looking for at least a fifth-round pick in return for him, so this isn’t a big surprise.

Kendricks, 27, is a former second-round pick of the Eagles back in 2012. He’s entering the fourth year of his five-year, $29.896 million contract that included $16.4 million guaranteed and stands to make a base salary of $5.85 million for the 2018 season.

According to OverTheCap.com, trading or releasing Kendricks would free up $4.4 million of available cap space while creating $3.2 million in dead money.

In 2017, Kendricks appeared in 15 games for the Eagles and recorded 77 tackles, two sacks and six pass defenses for the Eagles.

We’ll have more regarding a potential trade involving Kendricks as the news is available.
