Eagles Expected To Work Out AAF QB Luis Perez

According to Adam Caplan, the Philadelphia Eagles are expected to work out former Birmingham Iron QB Luis Perez at some point next week.

Caplan says you can expect to hear about a bunch of AAF players getting NFL workouts in the near future now that they’re free to sign with teams.

Perez, 24, wound up signing on with the Rams as an undrafted free agent out of Texas A&M-Commerce back in May of last year. He agreed to a three-year, $1.71 million contract, but was waived coming out of the preseason.

Perez had a brief stint on the Rams’ practice squad.

In 2019, Perez threw for 1,460 passing yards while completing 52.3 percent of his passes to go along with five touchdowns and six interceptions. He also rushed for 75 yards.
