Eagles Place CB Ronald Darby On IR, Sign Two Players

According to Eliot Shorr-Parks, the Eagles have placed CB Ronald Darby on season-ending injured reserve, signed TE Richard Rodgers to their active roster and promoted WR Deontay Burnett from their practice squad.

  • Philadelphia also officially waived RB Jay Ajayi.
  • Eagles signed WR River Cracraft to their practice squad.

Darby, 25, is a former second-round pick of the Bills out of Florida State back in 2015. The Eagles traded WR Jordan Matthews and a 2018 third-round pick to the Bills in return for Darby in 2017.

Darby played out the final year of his four-year, $4.569 million contract and re-signed with the Eagles on a one-year deal last offseason.

In 2019, Darby appeared in 11 games and recorded 37 total tackles, one tackle for loss, two interceptions, and 11 pass defenses.
