Eagles Promoting DT Bruce Hector From Practice Squad

Mike Kaye reports that the Eagles are promoting DT Bruce Hector from their practice squad to the active roster in time for Week 8.

Hector, 24, wound up signing on with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent out of South Florida in 2018. He bounced on and off of the Eagles’ roster in 2018 before landing on the active roster at the end of the year.

Philadelphia wound up trading to the Cardinals in exchange for S Rudy Ford back in August. However, he was among Arizona final roster cuts coming out of the preseason and returned to the Eagles’ practice squad once clearing waivers.

In 2018, Hector played in eight games and recorded two tackles and half a sack.
