Eagles Re-Sign TE Alex Ellis To PS, Release TE Scott Orndoff

The Philadelphia Eagles announced Monday that they’ve re-signed TE Alex Ellis to the practice squad and released TE Scott Orndoff from the unit.

Here’s the Eagles updated practice squad:

  1. WR Marcus Green
  2. QB Kyle Lauletta
  3. RB De’Angelo Henderson
  4. C Keegan Render
  5. DT Bruce Hector
  6. CB Tremon Smith
  7. WR Marken Michel
  8. DT Albert Huggins
  9. WR Deontay Burnett
  10. TE Alex Ellis

Ellis, 26, originally signed on with the Titans as an undrafted free agent back in 2016. He had brief stints with the Jaguars and Saints before he was claimed off of waivers by the Chiefs last year.

Kansas City declined to tender Ellis a qualifying offer, making him an unrestricted free agent this offseason. From there, he agreed to a contract with the Eagles and has been on and off of their practice squad.

For his career, Ellis has caught three passes for 11 yards receiving and no touchdowns over the course of 11 games.
